Naples, Italy  is THE place to head to in September for classic Italian street food.

Every night for one full week in September, Napoli's Lungomare Caracciolo area becomes a pizza village with over 500,000 visitors to the area, who consume more than 100,000 pizzas. Pizzas of every kind.

Historic versions are served up from the best and oldest pizzerias in the area with classics styles such as Margherita, Napolitana and Marinara taking pride of the region.

The festival varies from the stiffly contested World Pizza-Making Championships to the once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoyment the spicy pizza of Vesuvio under the shadow of the real volcano.
